Low-Sew Power-Up Mushroom Crochet Pattern

Mario is a character recognized throughout multiple generations. Whether you know the Italian plumber from the early days of Nintendo’s NES, or recently from the Super Mario Brothers Movie, he’s a video game icon known by all.

Of course, Mario can’t go out to save the princess or fight off bad guys without his power-ups! The most iconic power-up Mario uses is the Power-Up Mushroom. This quick project takes about an hour and is an excellent gift for anyone who loves Mario games.

Take the three white circles and space them out evenly around the top of the mushroom. The circles should sit in the middle between the top and bottom stitch of the red or green.

Once the circles are sewn on, pick one of the circles to use as the “front” of the mushroom for the face. In the Buff part of the mushroom, use the felting needle or sewing needle to attach two eyes. The eyes should start one row below the Red or Green, and go down three rows. There should be three stitches between the eyes.
